Jeyanthi graduated from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi in 1983.  She obtained a Masters degree in Human Settlements (Urban Land Management) from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok in 1986. 

 

She moved from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1988 and co-founded Jyoti Rath Associates in 1996 along with Architect Jyoti Rath. The firm has a varied portfolio of urban, architectural and corporate interior work. She was specifically involved in institutional and residential projects and gave direction in shaping the practice’s values in their interior architecture work.

 

​She has served as Professor & Design Chair at the Sushant School of Art and Architecture, heading the postgraduate programme in Interior Architecture and as Dean at the Sushant School of Design. She currently leads her boutique practice Studio JN.
